Honoring The All-Stars..

Join us on Saturday, February 10th from 12pm-2pm as we honor the Green Meadows Baseball team for their tenacity to overcome horrific challenges simply to play baseball in their community. Their determination helped them WIN All-Stars Championship Titles in both Minor & Major Divisions in the Spring of 2023. This is our way of honoring them. We are bringing the In N Out Food Truck for them to enjoy a meal on us.

Compton Blvd.

We are out on the streets everyday reporting the issues impacting the business corridors & neighborhoods. Compton Blvd between Main & San Pedro continues to be a “HOT SPOT” for illegal activity. Chronic dumping is still a problem on the corner of Compton & Main. We have reported the issues to the County Supervisor’s Office, Public Works and Sheriff’s Dept. We are waiting for the installation of cameras which should be happening very soon.

The Clean Up Continues…

Are We Doing Everything We Can???

Saturday, February 3rd, we organized a Community Clean Up along Redondo Beach Blvd with donated dumpsters from Universal Waste Services & Waste Resources. Along with heavy duty equipment provided by A & A Ready Mix and California Waste Services, volunteers from the community including those living on the streets worked together to clean up several locations along the Blvd. In three hours, we were able to fill 4 40 cubic yard dumpsters removing nearly 45,000 pounds of waste.

Community.

In October, the Los Angeles City Council honored Green Meadows All-Stars as they secured their FIRST citywide championship title in both Minor & Major divisions in the Spring of 2023 PLAYLA Baseball League. Hearing their stories of overcoming adverse conditions while practicing on the field, learning to lay flat during drive by shootings and other issues, I knew we needed to do more for these kids. The Green Meadows Recreation Center is located in LA City Council District 9 and shares a boundary with Supervisor Mitchell District 2. Many of the children live in the Florence Firestone neighborhood. We were able to raise funds for an In N Out food truck and are working with Nike for some donated uniform pieces. When we reached out to the park asking what we could do for the kids, they were surprised we wanted to help since this is not an area we cover. This could be any of our neighborhoods. These could be our children. We are committed to reshaping our communities into safer, cleaner, healthier areas.

We SEE It All & Report It All.

Every Day, we identify potentially stolen vehicles throughout Harbor Gateway, Unincorporated LA County areas, City of Gardena and now Compton. We happened to be driving by the Crystal Casino and spotted this one in the Compton Creek. Reporting this was complicated since it was in the channel which is under State control. We reported to Compton Sheriff & CHP South Los Angeles.

Rancho Dominguez.

Businesses in the Rancho Dominguez area have asked for our help in their area. Another Unincorporated LA County neighborhood. We were in the area on Friday, Saturday and Sunday driving the streets and requesting services. On Friday, we received a call regarding a generator left on while no one was in the RV. There was no one in the vehicle so we contacted Carson Sheriff for a wellness check.Businesses in the Rancho Dominguez area have asked for our help in their area.
