Finding Our Own Solutions.

We spend the majority of our days on the streets reporting the problematic locations and getting the resources to the area as quickly as we identify them. Homeless outreach has been the priority for the past three years. What we learned was the complicated jurisdictions created areas where there were very little to no resources targeting those locations in need of help. What seemed impossible three years ago has blossomed into a bi-weekly collaborative outreach event with agencies from throughout the City of Los Angeles, Unincorporated Areas and City of Gardena working in tandem.

Getting The Media Involved.

We are doing what we can to bring attention to current situation happening throughout the Unincorporated LA County areas of East Gardena, West Rancho Dominguez and Willowbrook.

Broadway Corridor Clean Up.

Clean Up along the Broadway Corridor will begin on Tuesday, July 11th starting at 9am. The current plan is to remove all of the debris and piles of construction materials starting at 132nd & Broadway heading south to Compton Blvd. This is a non-displacement clean up. The county will be removing the burned RV’s and red tagging any vehicle(s) blocking fire hydrants.

An Update on the RV Pilot Program

The County of Los Angeles and Supervisor Mitchell’s office are still working on the details of the RV Pilot Program. As of this moment, they have not secured a location to place the non-working, unregistered vehicles. In addition, they are still working on hotels and/or motels for anyone wishing to be housed.

Why Requesting Homeless Outreach Is Important.

When a request for homeless outreach is submitted, teams are deployed typically within 48 hours. As the teams visit the locations, they area able to assess the immediate issues and request additional assistance. During today’s outreach, we identified an abandoned RV and were able to have it removed from the area.

Submit your requests daily. It will generate additional resources to the reported location and the process begins. Individuals may not accept the help immediately. However, it is the start of the relationship.

The New Standard.

Two weeks ago, three areas were cleaned up by the LASD HOST team, LA County Public Works and Compton Sheriff Parking Enforcement. The area has remained clear and is the new standard we are working to create throughout the East Gardena/West Rancho Dominguez area. This will take time and work. It will involve every business […]

Our Commitment To Getting Resources To Our Homeless.

“We See You”

“We Have Services For You”

Everyday.

Three months ago, we reached out to homeless outreach service providers from the entire South Bay to assist with the 450+ RV’s and individuals living on the sidewalks throughout the East Gardena/West Rancho Dominguez area. From the first outreach, we realized we needed to start a regular collaborative outreach. Every other Wednesday, you will see teams along the Broadway corridor and throughout Harbor Gateway visiting each RV and following up with their clients.
