Rancho Dominguez Clean Up

On Tuesday, March 5th, Public Works began cleaning up in the Rancho Dominguez area. They started on Gladwick and worked their way east. Crews were able to remove trash from the streets. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department HOST team along with LAHSA provided outreach to those individuals living in the RV’s and along the streets. Deputies from Carson Sheriff Station provided additional coverage.
The March For Clean Streets Continues…

When they dump, we start our process to find them.
One more dumper caught and prosecution has started. 133rd and Broadway is a CHRONIC location for illegal dumping. Haulers, unmarked dump trucks filled with thousands of pounds of dirt, construction materials and trash often select this location. While we are waiting for cameras to be installed, we are sorting through the trash and finding where the stuff is coming from.
Where Were You?

Wednesday afternoon, February 21st, we partnered with TR Trading Company to host our Third Community Business Meeting for an update on the ongoing issues impacting our business corridor. Captains from both Century & Compton Sheriff, the LASD HOST team, Public Works, and Homeless Initiative were on hand to answer questions. We also invited candidates running for Supervisor & the District Attorney Office. We did our best to inform all businesses of the upcoming meeting by delivering flyers, sending emails and contacting each business by phone.
Why meetings like this are so important for business owners, property owners & residents?
Direct access to those who hear your concerns and have the ability to help.
More Clean Ups Are Coming.

Rancho Dominguez we have scheduled Clean Ups for Thursday, February 15th and Friday, February 16th starting 8am. Help is coming.
Our Story Continues.

Clean ups are just one of the ways we are doing our part to address the issues impacting our communities. Homeless outreach, getting them to the shelters and bringing in the service providers is happening on a daily basis. We are communicating the issues to all law enforcement agencies, our neighboring community leaders and public works and/or LA Sanitation. We are often on the streets before the sunrises to catch the dumpers in action.
Honoring The All-Stars..

Join us on Saturday, February 10th from 12pm-2pm as we honor the Green Meadows Baseball team for their tenacity to overcome horrific challenges simply to play baseball in their community. Their determination helped them WIN All-Stars Championship Titles in both Minor & Major Divisions in the Spring of 2023. This is our way of honoring them. We are bringing the In N Out Food Truck for them to enjoy a meal on us.
Compton Blvd.

We are out on the streets everyday reporting the issues impacting the business corridors & neighborhoods. Compton Blvd between Main & San Pedro continues to be a “HOT SPOT” for illegal activity. Chronic dumping is still a problem on the corner of Compton & Main. We have reported the issues to the County Supervisor’s Office, Public Works and Sheriff’s Dept. We are waiting for the installation of cameras which should be happening very soon.

Are We Doing Everything We Can???

Saturday, February 3rd, we organized a Community Clean Up along Redondo Beach Blvd with donated dumpsters from Universal Waste Services & Waste Resources. Along with heavy duty equipment provided by A & A Ready Mix and California Waste Services, volunteers from the community including those living on the streets worked together to clean up several locations along the Blvd. In three hours, we were able to fill 4 40 cubic yard dumpsters removing nearly 45,000 pounds of waste.
